Press release: The Lions Club Esch-sur-Alzette celebrates 15 Years of solidarity alongside Stëmm

...

On Sunday, March 1, the Stëmm social restaurant in Esch-sur-Alzette experienced a day marked by conviviality and solidarity. Remaining true to a well-established tradition, the Lions Club Esch-sur-Alzette organized its renowned annual raclette event in support of Stëmm’s beneficiaries.

This year, nearly 150 people enjoyed an excellent meal between 11:45 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Stëmm’s premises, located at 112, rue du Canal. Around twenty members of the Lions Club volunteered their time to prepare and serve a delicious raclette, accompanied by potatoes, ham, pickles, and other garnishes. The shared moment concluded on a sweet note with an apple tart topped with whipped cream.

For the 15th consecutive year, the Lions Club Esch-sur-Alzette has supported Stëmm through this charitable initiative, which has become a key fixture of its social commitment over the years. Its president, Mr. Lieven Decroos, was present during this day dedicated to generosity and fellowship.

On this occasion, the Lions Club Esch-sur-Alzette also presented a donation of €1,000 to Stëmm, demonstrating its concrete support for initiatives benefiting the most vulnerable members of the community.

Representing Stëmm, President André Dübbers and Director Alexandra Oxacelay were present to warmly thank the Lions Club volunteers for their commitment and longstanding loyalty. All emphasized that such moments of conviviality offer much more than a meal: they create connection, human warmth, and a genuine spirit of solidarity.

Alexandra Oxacelay stated: “As 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Stëmm, such an event is a wonderful example of how solidarity can be celebrated in a very concrete way — by bringing comfort and support to our beneficiaries.”

Stëmm extends its heartfelt thanks to the Lions Club Esch-sur-Alzette for its renewed generosity and for fifteen years of faithful support in service of the most vulnerable.
