Press release: Valentine’s Day 2026 at the Stëmm: A Gesture of Care

For Valentine’s Day 2026, the Fondation Majany, under the auspices of the Fondation de Luxembourg, once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the beneficiaries of the Stëmm vun der Strooss.

On Monday 16 February 2026, marking the eighth consecutive year of this initiative, Frédéric Loridon and Laurent Meiers distributed 700 roses to people experiencing hardship. The flowers were handed out at the different social restaurants of the non-profit, as well as at the “Saxo” day shelter, reaching a wide range of beneficiaries.

Though simple in appearance, a rose carries a powerful message. It conveys appreciation, dignity and human warmth — a reminder that everyone matters.

The Stëmm vun der Strooss sincerely thanks the Fondation Majany and the Fondation de Luxembourg for their continued support, as well as Fleurs Vry for ensuring the early morning delivery of the roses. Thanks to this thoughtful initiative, Valentine’s Day 2026 was once again marked by generosity and solidarity.
